This report summarises a literature study carried out as part of the project 807 Battlefield digitization - consequences for command and operations (SLADI). Key aspects discussed in this report are Network Centric Warfare, Information Infrastructures and Collaboration Technology. The report focuses on the recognition that effective military command and control has as much to do with people and processes as it does with equipment. It therefore addresses the complex interplay between organisation, processes and technology in order to understand more about how modern Information and Communication Technology shapes, enables and constrains organisational change. The objective is to highlight some important implications which should be taken into consideration in a military organisational development process that involves enhanced use of Information and Communication Technology.en_GB
