Abstract

This report gives an introduction to the most improrant environmental contaminants at miliJary siles in Norway. The most important heavy memls, organoruemls and organic companents (peBs, PAHs and hydrocarbons) are diseussed with foeu, on their ocCurrence in the environment, bioavailability and toxicity. The report also serves as an introduction to possible methods for remediation of contaminated soil and waste. The intention of thtS report is that it can be used as a reference manual for the evaluatron of possible effeet, of environment.1 contaminants in sediment, soil and organisms.
